Q) What is Reality Rally?

A) Reality Rally is a "Fun for Funds" 3 day charity event in Southern California, created by "Survivor Gabon" contestant, Gillian Larson. One hundred percent of net proceeds benefit Temecula-based Michelle's Place Breast Cancer Resource Center. Please click the link for Gillian's story.

Q) Where is Reality Rally held?

A) In Temecula, Southern California's beautiful wine country. Refer to The Event and Weekend Schedule for full details of all weekend event information.

Q) Why is Michelle's Place Breast Cancer Resource Center the beneficiary?

A) Gillian read Michelle's Story years ago and was struck by the tragedy Michelle and her family faced because of a misdiagnosis. She vowed that if she ever had the opportunity to raise funds and awareness of what the Center provides, she would to help prevent another family facing that same tragedy. This vow is being fulfilled by Reality Rally and all those that make it possible.

Q) How will I know what Reality Stars are coming to Reality Rally?

A) On October 1st the Reality Stars will be signing up to attend April 2016. As they signup they will be added to the Reality Star Line up. They are required to raise $500 to attend as this is not just an awesome weekend to have fun but a fundraiser. Occasionally there might be a circumstance that requires them to drop out and they are taken off the website immediately so the Line Up is always current. Fans can help by donating to their favorite Star attending. See Star Line Up page and donate button.

Q) Are all the events/parties open to the public to meet the Stars?

A) ABSOLUTELY!! That is the purpose of the weekend. You meet the Stars all weekend and Michelle's Place benefits from the funds raised.

Q) How do I buy event tickets, event packages and passes?

Q) Will I get a paper ticket for a party ticket purchase?

A) You will not be mailed a paper ticket for any party ticket. You can print your receipt and you will also be on the Will Call List at the door

Q) Will there be photos and videos available after the weekend?

A) Yes and for FREE, watch the website under The Event for all photos and videos to be posted. You can pull any photo you would like and copy the YouTube link for videos. Please share.

Q) Can we take photos of the Stars?

A) Absolutely!!! Take as many as you want of them and with you. That is why they are here. Post them on all your social media and make your friends jealous and want to come and join you.

Q) Does Reality Rally have Facebook to watch for information?

A) Yes!!! Please "like" Reality Rally Facebook to watch what we are doing. Please ask all you know to do the same.

Q) Can I donate to a Star or a Team?

A) You can be part of Reality Rally even if you cannot come. If you want to help your favorite Star coming, help them raise their Fund Raising minimum of $500. Go to Reality Star Line up on Reality Rally Select your Stars name and click on the red fundraising star on their bio. International donations welcome as well. Your business can sponsor a Star for a minimum of $500 and be highlighted on their bio and linked to your company website. Q) Will there be anything for the kids and families?

A) The Reality Rally Family Festival. We have 14 storybook characters ex: Elsa Anna, Olaf, Cinderella, etc for photo opportunities with kids. The Kidz Challenge Checkpoints is always a fun event as well. Please watch the website for details under The Festival.

Q) Is there anything to do that is free?

A) Yes. We have "Things to do for Free" updated list each year under The Event weekend schedule.

Q) What do I wear to the Events on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night?

A) Thursday Night is casual

Q) What hotels are in Temecula and is there a special event rate?

A) These hotels have offered Reality Rally a discounted rate at their hotels. More may be added so check back. You MUST identify yourself as attending Reality Rally to get these rates.

  • Pala Mesa Golf Resort Reality Rally's Host Hotel. Pala Mesa Resort Fan/Media Rate $149.00 a night. Ask for Reality Rally Fan rate. Pala Mesa about 10 miles south of town. HOTEL FULL FOR 2016
  • Quality Inn Temecula Reality Rally Fan Rate for 2016. There is a two night minimum if they arrive on Saturday. You are directed to the hotel site, click on room type and that gets you to The Reality Rally Fan rate.

Q) Do you have a Reality Rally Special San Diego Airport To Temecula Shuttle?

A) Reality Rally discount link for attending guests who have not purchased a VIP Fan Package and need airport transport to and from SAN Surpershuttle has a 5% one way 10% RT discount built right in Super Shuttle

Q) What is the nearest airport?

A) San Diego the Official airport of Reality Rally, Ontario, Los Angeles but much more challenging to transfer to Temecula from there.

Q) Do you provide transport around Temecula?

A) We cannot provide transport from airports. You can purchase a Reality Rally VIP Fan Pass or a Weekend Fan Bus Pass which includes intervenue transport. VIP Fan Pass Information otherwise you will need to arrange your own transportation.



Q) What is The Reality Rally game?

A) Reality Rally is a 3 hr "The Amazing Race" style game, completing multiple challenges all around Old Town Temecula. These challenges are put on by various Temecula organizations on Saturday. Please check out The Game

Q) How many people on a team?

A) Teams consist of 4 contestants: 3 fun public and 1 Reality Star or 4 fun public and no Reality Star.

Q) How much does it cost to play?

A) Return Player Loyalty Bonus:

  • $120 for a team ticket for 3 (if anyone on a team has played the Reality Rally Game before)
  • $160 for a team of 4 public no Star

New team to our game:

  • $150 for a team of 3 with a Star or $200 team of 4 no Star.
  • Military and First Responders in the Battle of the Badges:
  • Complimentary team ticket in acknowledgment for what they do for our towns and country. Email for Team entry.

The Charity Chalice: $100 for a 3 person Team ticket acknowledging the good works they do.

Q) Can I sign up for only myself if I don't have friends who want to play?

A) Yes, Single ticket price $50.00 you will be assigned to a team on April 1st and be notified.

Q) I registered as a single player. How do friends sign up to be on my team?

A) They buy a single ticket and be sure to indicate they will be on your team.

Q) When can I sign up to play?

A) Team sign up starts October 1st and closes April 1st or when 80 teams are signed up. Don't delay, teams fill up quickly. Click to Buy Game Ticket Link

Q) Where do I report to on Game Day?

A) Report to the Team Registration booth at the Temecula City Hall 41000 Main Street Temecula in Old Town. Participants must check in as a team. Check-in opens at 7am and must be checked in by 9am. Be in front of City Hall Square for the Game Kick off activities.

Q) Is a waiver needed?

A) Yes, each team member will sign one when they check in.

Q) What is included in the Game ticket?

A) Your Ticket to Play and a whole lot of fun, a Participant T Shirt & water. Not included:

  • Other weekend event tickets. Can be purchased under Buy Tickets on Reality Rally
  • Reality Rally backpacks are available for sale at the "Merchandise Store" and at the event.
  • No food provided.
  • Eat before the game and pack a few snacks.


Q) Is this a RACE for only fit people to play?

A) The game is designed that even people in their 80's can play. Teams certainly do run from Checkpoint to Checkpoint but not required to enjoy and do well. We have had some teams in their 70's who have enjoyed playing our "The Amazing Race” type game.

Q) Can I pick the person(s) on my team?

A) Teams do pick their own teammates but not their Star unless they are a sponsor or raise $1000 for Michelle's Place. All team members sign up by clicking on the Team Sign up banner on from October 1st to April 1st. Individuals can sign up as a single and we combine singles the week before the event and notify you. Fundraising done by singles then gets combined that week and could qualify for a Game Advantage U-Turn if it is over $4000 combined. Stars cannot pick their team mates. Public teams are raising money to have the opportunity to choose a Star for their team.

Q) Are there different divisions?

A) Yes. All Teams play against every team but there are different divisions and trophies to vie for"Fun Friends" Just 3 friends. "Corporate Challenge" Your team represents your company, is highlighted and linked to your business website, you can wear company gear and vie for the Corporate Cup. "Battle of the Badges" Your team represents First Responders, Fire,Police,EMT’s or the military branch you represent, you are acknowledged and thanked during the Opening Ceremonies and vie for the division trophy. "City Council" Your team represents your town's City Council in a friendly inter-city competition to vie for "The Floating Gnome Trophy". "The Charity Chalice" Your team of 3 represents your Charitable organization and the good work you do. Your team is linked to your organization on our website and you can wear your organization apparel.

Q) Can my family and friends follow my team?

A) Yes, but they cannot compete in any challenges or help you in any way. We encourage family and friends following you or going to Checkpoints to cheer their team on, take photos and post on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Q) What happens if one member of our Team cannot do any more Challenges?

A) All team members who want to continue must return to the Finish Line and report to the Finish Line Coordinator. You will then be assigned a Substitute to finish the Game.


Q) What is the weather in Temecula?

A) Normal temperatures in April are in the high 70's daytime, high 50's at night. Please check Weather Channel group as we get closer to the event.

Q) What do I wear on Saturday for the day?

A) You will be given your Participation t-shirt on arrival. Feel free to change into it or come dressed in a Team Costume or who you represent to promote who you are. Wear active-wear so you are comfortable when you play the Game.


Q) Do all of the funds raised go to Michelle's Place?

A) We do have some expenses but we are always diligent about spending. 100% of the net proceeds are donated to Michelle's Place.

Q) Is there a Fundraising requirement?

A) Not required for Teams but we do encourage teams to raise funds as those funds will provide much needed resources and support for women, men and their families during a difficult time in their lives. The funds raised also provides the game advantage and a personal choice of their Reality Star based on availability as described earlier. The Reality Stars are required to raise $500 for a mammogram for an uninsured woman/man. We want the public to know that this is not a huge fun Reality Star reunion but a fundraiser they are a part of. In addition we do not pay Stars for their attendance, they donate their time.

Q) How do the Teams raise funds?

A) As soon as you have registered to play the Reality Rally game, we will set up a fundraising page for you and send you the link. Please post and email it out to everyone you know to alert them to your fundraising effort. Your link can also be found by clicking on the donate button on your Team bio page.

Q) Do teams have a Team bio and photo on the website?

Q) When is the Deadline Date to choose my Star?

A) The sooner the team raises their $1000 to better chance there is to choose their Star from the Reality Star Line Up. The deadline to be awarded a U-Turn for your $4000 donation level combined with your Star is April 1st. NO EXCEPTIONS. You will receive your U-Turn Certificate in secret when you arrive to play on Saturday morning.

Q) What is a Team Sponsor?

A) If a company donates a minimum of $500 to your team’s fundraising, we will advertise it on your Bio page, with their logo & company website. This provides them with company recognition and the global reach we have though our event.

Q) What is a Corporate Match and how is that handled?

A) A corporate match is a company that will match your fundraising amount on your Team fundraising page. When you send out your appeal email and posts, ask if anyone can give you a Corporate Match of funds raised. Most companies do have that available if asked. You provide with their contact information and Michelle's Place provides them with what they need. Once the money is received it goes into your fundraising amount.

Q) How can I raise the funds?

A) There is a list of suggestion Fundraising ideas on the website, plus you can google ideas. There are lots! We have provided graphics for you to use to promote any events you may decide to do in your own town. See Fundraising Templates.

Q) Is there any Game advantage in Fundraising?

A) Yes, absolutely! Choose your Star: Once you have raised $1000 you can look at the Reality Star line up and choose the Star you want to be your 4th team member based on availability. Game U-Turn. Your Fundraising amount and your Stars raised amount will be combined to work towards $4,000 earning a game U-Turn. Every $4000 = 1 U-Turn This allows you to skip a challenge of your choice. This is a huge game advantage if used wisely. Please see The Game. We will notify your Star they have been chosen by your team and let them be aware you are working towards a U-Turn.
