Many think she flew under the radar but anyone who knows Sandra knows that is not the place she rides. She is hysterical, says what is on her mind and is an honest genuine person. She will tell you, there’s a lot of stuff that didn't make it to the show. “There are a lot of big moves I made, a lot of fights and stuff going on out there. I wasn't under the radar, I wasn't quiet, and I wanted Russell out, but then I realized he's perfect to take to the end because I'll automatically win. He assumed I didn't have any friends, but my game is a tight social game and I got all 5 Hero votes and I got Courtney's vote. At the end of the day, I got the check, I'm the queen, it doesn't matter who likes me or who doesn't like me. She won, it's flawed, that's what [Russell] thinks, but there are a ton of people who are glad that I won.”
Her strategy. “I was a fan first before I was a Survivor. I take bits and pieces of everybody's season and every winner's strategy and I have dos and don'ts and I just have a winning combination. Sandra knows who the “dummies” are “because I’ve watched all of the Survivors, you want to take a little from here, a little from there. And then watching these players play, you know what their weaknesses are, what they’re afraid of, who they’re afraid of, who betrayed them before that’s now trying to be their buddy.” Even though she’s been watching, Sandra also researched everyone who she thought would be on the show to remind herself of alliances and other things that might be helpful;
She knew she had a good chance at winning Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains after the final Tribal Council, but she was still surprised when a majority of the votes were cast in her favor.
She describes herself as adventurous, dedicated and a team player. She is most proud of having graduated from community college where she received an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Fayetteville Community College in North Carolina. Her favorite sport is volleyball. Her mother is her hero because she has always been committed to and made sacrifices for her children.
