Joe Block - Beauty and The Geek

Originally from Chicagoland (much like Disneyland, but without the grooming rules), Joe Block spent his first 25 years enjoying the spoils of Illinois. He attended the University of Chicago and later Northwestern University for graduate school. While pursuing his PhD in mechanical engineering, he was selected to be on the second season of Beauty and the Geek. While Joe prefers the descriptor nerd, the self-proclaimed chess champion still managed to do well enough to get second place on the show. After finishing graduate school, Joe migrated west to Los Angeles to pursue his dreams of management consulting. Ok, maybe that wasn't his dream, but he really enjoys it. Joe has a variety of passions – fitness, board games, new restaurants, golf, talk radio, rock drumming, tangential conversations, puppies and cooking. His passion for food and consumer goods led to his current job at Roll Global, best known for their FIJI, Wonderful pistachios and Cuties oranges brands. You will likely see him at LAX traveling – look for the only guy with no paparazzi around.
