Justin Young - Amazing RaceJustin is a physician from Stone Mountain, GA who appeared on the 19th season of The Amazing Race with his sister Jennifer. Racing through Taiwan, Indonesia, and Thailand he realized the toughest part of the show wasn't the long flights and bus rides, but traveling with a sibling. Overall he and his sister made a great team and by the time they reached their final leg in Malawi it was clear they had an incredible experience under their belt, bringing them even closer. He is a 2008 graduate of Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN and a 2002 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After completing two years as a resident in Emory's Department of Surgery and taking some time off from residency in 2010 he plans to change his focus and train in Emergency Medicine. He has an interest in pediatric emergency medicine, global health, and international travel, with hopes of doing some work with Doctors Without Borders. Outside of work he can be found rock climbing, skiing, or plotting his next road trip. After the show he trained and raised funds with some of his cast mates for the NYC Marathon for Grassroot Soccer, a worldwide program committed to stopping the spread of HIV through youth development, education, and soccer. Next on his training list is a triathlon this summer. Justin was grateful to see the world through The Amazing Race and wants to continue to see even more. It was great for him to compete on a popular reality show as a young, gay, African-American male, and he hopes it inspires others to be themselves and find their next adventure.
